An expedition travels to the Amazon in search of living dinosaurs.  They find more than they bargained for and become trapped on a remote plateau pursued by dinosaurs and angry natives.  This adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s novel is filled with silly characters and situations including modern reptiles made to look like dinosaurs and filmed close-up.  Stars Michael Renne, Jill St. John, David Hedison and Claude Rains.  Directed by Irwin Allen.
