When Boy decides to have an adventure of his own and visit civilization, he takes along a gold nugget he found in the swimming hole. A scientific expedition rescues him from natives and two members learn there is more gold where the nugget was found. They kidnap Jane and Boy to extort the rest from Tarzan. Trying to escape, they are captured by natives, but Tarzan arrives just in time to save Jane and Boy. The fifth installment of the original MGM Tarzan series follows the successful formula of the others – outsiders disrupt Tarzan and Jane’s idyllic life as we watch stock wildlife footage. Starring Johnny Weissmuller, Maureen O’Sullivan, Johnny Sheffield, Reginald Owen and Barry Fitzgerald. Directed by Richard Thorpe.
