With a cover story as a disgraced American officer bound for China, an intelligence agent boards a Japanese ship just prior to the attack on Pearl Harbor. The ship is bound for the far east by way of Panama and the agent was sent to investigate a possible plot to attack the Panama Canal. Along the way, he meets a mysterious woman as well as other travelers while trying to determine which of them might be involved in the plot. A tense film that features a very talented cast. Starring Humphrey Bogart, Mary Astor and Sydney Greenstreet. Directed by John Huston.
