With his brother imprisoned in Europe, Prince John and other Norman Lords are oppressing the Saxon population of England. A Saxon lord creates a band of outlaws and outcasts to fight back. This film is Hollywood swashbuckling adventure at its very best. Errol Flynn stars as Robin Hood along with Olivia de Havilland as Maid Marion. The stellar supporting cast includes Claude Rains, Basil Rathbone, Patrick Knowles and Alan Hale. Directed by Michael Curtiz. Nominated for four Oscars including Best Picture, it won three – Best Art Direction, Best Film Editing and Best Music, Original Score.
