Three soldiers carouse their way through 19th Century India getting into trouble with their superiors and battling a cult of fanatics with the help of their company water carrier, Gunga Din.  One of many memorable films from what most people believe was Hollywood’s best year.  Loosely based on the Rudyard Kipling poem.  Cary Grant, Victor McLaglen and Douglas Fairbanks, Jr, and Joan Fontaine star in this fun-filled adventure. Sam Jaffe appears as the title character. Directed by George Stevens.
