A man shoots and kills another man just outside of his apartment. As the police close in, he refuses to surrender and recalls the last days leading up to the shooting in a series of flashbacks. Interesting premise but the story unfortunately plods along in a manner that lives up to the film’s title. Starring Henry Fonda, Barbara Bel Geddes, Vincent Price, and Ann Dvorak.  Directed by Anatole Litvak.
