The Invisible Man (1933)

A scientist discovers a way to make himself invisible but becomes insane as a result. Along with Frankenstein (1931) and Dracula, this film made Universal the dominant Hollywood studio for horror productions. Claude Rains was an unknown instructor at an acting school until this film started a decades long career in the movies. Based on the novel by H.G. Wells. Starring Claude Rains, Gloria Stuart, William Harrigan and Henry Travers. Directed by James Whale.
