British archeologists open the tomb of a long dead Egyptian princess.  In the process, they awaken a mummy that guards her tomb.  Three years later, the mummy is brought to England by a modern worshipper of the princess and ordered to hunt down and kill the archeologists.  The first installment in the Hammer Film Productions series of Mummy films is a remake of Universal’s The Mummy’s Hand.  Starring Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Yvonne Furneaux, Eddie Byrne and Felix Aylmer.  Directed by Terence Fisher.
