Texans seeking independence from Mexico find themselves trapped inside an old Spanish mission they have converted into a fortress. Surrounded and outnumbered they make a last stand. While this film takes a long time to get there, the final battle is spectacular. The film was a pet project that John Wayne tried to make happen for years before it finally came together. Starring John Wayne, Richard Widmark, Laurence Harvey, Richard Boone, Carlos Arruza and Frankie Avalon.  Directed by John Wayne.
