RIO BRAVO (1959)

A sheriff protects a local murderer while being attacked by the wealthy family that wants to save him. He works with a drunken deputy and a young gunfighter to defend against constant attacks. Rio Bravo is known for its suspense, humor, and memorable performances. It represents the Western genre’s rugged individualism, law and order, and tension between civilized society and a lawless frontier. Starring John Wayne, Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, Angie Dickinson, Ward Bond and Walter Brennan. Directed by Howard Hawks.
