A submarine commander’s family is captured by the Japanese at the start of World War II. Monthly later he is forced to sink the transport ship they are on during an attack on an infamous Japanese carrier. Haunted by his actions, he vows to find and sink the carrier. Torpedo Run features well done underwater miniature filming and interesting flashback sequences for its time but gets a little melodramatic at points. Starring Glenn Ford, Ernest Borgnine, Diane Brewster, Dean Jones. Directed by Joseph Pevney.
